Her most famous role is that of Sally Fletcher in the Australian soap series Home and Away.
Kate Ritchie, who starred in the long-running Channel Seven drama, tweeted a hilarious retro blooper on Saturday.
In an Instagram video, the actress, 43, can be seen giggling while filming an emotional sequence with co-star Isla Fisher.
After the director says ‘action,’ Kate bursts out laughing and requests that the scene be reshot.
She is then seen filming the tragic scene while crying hysterically.
She captioned the video, ‘Not particularly professional, but I’m going to blame 12 hours in the studio, youth, and most definitely Daniel Amalm for this one,’ she said.
‘Reposting since it made me giggle this week and reminded me of the #goodolddays,’ she continued.
Kate first appeared on Home and Away when she was eight years old, in 1987, and left the show in 2008.
The actress-turned-radio personality reflected on her time on the iconic Channel 7 show in an interview with WHO Magazine last year.
‘Home and Away will always have a special place in my heart,’ she told the tabloid.
‘How could I not?’ says the narrator. It educated and nourished me. It gave me some of the most delightful years of my life and helped to define who I was for a long time.’
Meanwhile, Isla Fisher, who has had a lot of success in Hollywood, joined the cast of Home and Away when she was 19 years old in 1994.
She quit the show in 1997 and relocated to the United States.
Wedding Crashers, a romantic comedy starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, gave her her big break in 2005.
